The Age of Aquarius began on 8 April 1998, according to my best calculations so far.

The dawning is however a gradual process and this evening is a wonderful, brilliantly funny chance to celebrate it.

The seventh house is above the western horizon, and the Moon’s best appearance there is when it’s a new crescent. Jupiter and Mars conjunct closely today, with Mars just 0.8° north of Jupiter, and are still near this evening. So, we have the Moon in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligned with Mars – also in the seventh house, and aligned with the Moon.

Saturn is even nearby in the same house and aligned with all three.

What is more, this is the Chinese month of the metal dragon, in the year of the metal dragon, a doubly powerful time of world change.

As soon as I saw all this, I started singing the song.
