few photos, there's lots in me head though...
The shit weather on Friday and having to work late meant I didn't set out till 07:00 on Saturday morning. Got what I thought was enough layers on, but , having got 7 miles up the road & it started to rain I decided to get the waterproofs out. 30 miles up the A23 and my fingers were already numb..."only another 200+ miles to go" I thought. Having been let down by all the flakers (can't afford it, saving for Finlake, etc. etc.)  I was on me own, cold & wet, but philosophical.
Every 60 miles or so I filled the P2 up and spent 15 mins with me gloves under the hand-dryer in the bogs (having rung 'em out first of course)
After only 6 hours in the rain, musing on life's mysteries I got to the humber bridge and it stopped! In the next two hours to Brid the icy wind helped dry me out no end. Finally arrived at about 3pm & met Darren & Jackie on the seafront, spent the next 1/2 hour in a cafe trying to warm up me hands on a cup of coffee.
Went to the custom show in the afternoon (without me camera, doh!) back for a few cans and a quick kip, then out to the pub and the do for a bloody good night. Got lost trying to find the B&B on the way home with me fish, chips & gravy. Was supposed to get up early to meet some lads from Cannock who I was gonna ride down to Stoke with but the beer-soaked head said "no!, its just toooooo early".
