On Sunday 4th October 1998 at 10am BST battle was joined for the first SELWG Deadlands:Doomtown
Tournament sanctioned by Five Rings Publishing Group who also kindly provided the prizes. The prizes consisted
of three uncut card sheets and three certificates exchangeable for Ghostrock valued cards.
The games took place at Grove Park Youth Club, Marvels Lane London SE12. It was a close fought battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th places but the runaway winner was Gerry Crowe the official FAQ Keeper as well as founder of the Deadlands Webring and host of The Crowe's Nest web page. I hope everyone who took part had as good a time playing as I did organising the day, which I will partake again in a few months!
