One of my favourite books is 84 Charing Cross which is about the American author Helene Hanff's 20 year correspondence with a London bookstore. It is bitter sweet because the two principals never got to meet....................

Thomas Hardy
I also love the novels of Thomas Hardy and have recently been reading a number of them........
Jude the Obscure, Far From the Madding Crowd, The Mayor of Casterbridge, The Return of the Native, A Pair of Blue Eyes and Under the Greenwood Tree and I am currently reading The Trumpet Major.
