Helicobacter

H. canis - a zoonosis from dogs and cause of gastroenteritis

H. cinaedi and H. fennelliae- (both previously classified as Campylobacter spp.) - associated with septiciaemia and proctitis in homosexual men - H. cinaedi is a zoonosis from hamsters and has caused sepicaemia in a neonate and has been isolated from blood and faeces of children and adult females - reported susceptible to ampicillin and gentamicin

"H. heimannii" - not a validly published name - reported cause of gastritis - may be conspecific with H. bizzozeronii from dogs

H. pullorum - associated with gastroenteritis - zoonosis from poultry

H. pylori (previously Campylobacter pyloridis) - associated with gastritis - various treatment combinations recommended such as omeprazole plus clarithromycin plus metronidazole
